Help

Most issues can be solved by switching provider, closing/re-opening the browser or turning your device off and on.

if it's your first time using the private address on your device/browser your using it'll take longer to sync your balance.

chevron-rightWallet extension not popping up?hashtag
  • Check whether the request popped up — it may have hidden itself, so open your extension.

  • Close the browser and re-open it.

General help:

  • Check the speed and stability of your internet connection; transactions require a strong, stable Wi-Fi connection.

  • Try a different provider (click here).

  • Close browser and re-open.

Sending with private address specific:

  • If you're not self-signing, try a different broadcaster.

  • Check your VPN connection, make sure it supports p2p connections.

  • If you're on a university or work Wi-Fi connection, it may block p2p connections.

chevron-rightCan't connect wallet on mobile?hashtag

It’s currently best to use Faceless on desktop device.

To connect your phone’s wallet, you’ll likely need to use your wallet’s browser rather than a regular mobile browser, since the website expects wallet extension connections, which regular mobile browsers don’t support.

chevron-rightThe website is laggy?hashtag

The website is heavy. For the best results, use a desktop and avoid having many tabs open.

However, if it is extremely slow:

  • Close the browser and reopen it.

  • Clear cookies.

  • Turn device off and on.

chevron-rightNeed help with self-signing?hashtag
  1. Open the settings modal (cog icon in top right corner).

  2. Click the “Sending from private address” tab.

  3. Click the “Method” tab.

  4. Select “Self-Sign”.

  5. When you go to do the transactions, it’ll ask which wallet you wish to use for the self-sign, select it and continue your transaction.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If the wallet your using for the self-sign is the same as the wallet your using for the private address (but a different account/pair within it):

  • You’ll want to change your account within your regular wallet before it asks you to sign the transaction otherwise the request will get sent to the private addresses account instead.

  • If your desired self-sign account/pair isn’t receiving the request and it’s instead being requested by a different one, it’s because you didn’t give the account/pair permission to connect more than 1 pair within your regular wallet’s connection modal request. Otherwise, it’s because you haven’t got the desired account/pair selected within your wallet’s modal. So make sure the desired account to be used is the one active within your wallet (visibly on your regular wallet modal), and if that doesn’t work - disconnect your wallet and reconnect it with the permissions allowing the self-sign wallet to be used too.

  • Don’t worry, your self-signing wallet being used will be displayed before you sign the transaction and also won’t automatically execute, only you can execute a self-sign from within your wallet.
